ОКОИ признает важность защиты прав, предоставленных маркетинг-партнерам Игр, и с этой целью ОКОИ обязуется предпринять все надлежащие шаги, неся соответствующие затраты, включая обращение в суд по мере необходимости, для предотвращения и/или пресечения любой деятельности, связанной с теневым маркетингом или любого несанкционированного использования символики Игр.

protection of Olympic marketing partners' rights
OCOG acknowledges the importance of protecting the rights granted to the Games marketing partners, and to this effect the OCOG agrees to take all appropriate steps, at its cost, including legal recourse if appropriate, to prevent and/or terminate any ambush marketing or any unauthorized use of the Games marks.

Primary purpose of this department is to ensure the protection of the intellectual property assets and rights of the OCOG, the host NOC, the IOC, and the Games marketing partners as required by the Host City Contract, the Olympic Charter, and the OCOG's agreements and contracts with host NOC and marketing partners.
